Oscar Robertson, nicknamed "The Big O", played 14 seasons in the NBA with the Cincinnati Royals and the Milwaukee Bucks. Robertson was the first player to truly define the point guard position as he always had control of a ball game. He was once the only player to average a triple-double in a season in NBA History, a record he held single-handedly for a long time. Bio: Oscar Palmer Robertson was born on November 24, 1938, in Charlotte, Tennessee. Robertson grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana where he attended Crispus Attucks High School, an all-black school. In high school, Robertson led his team to the state finals in 1955. For college, Robertson attended the University of Cincinnati where he made history as the first black player at the university and won three straight College Player of the Year awards.
