



Earvin "Magic" Johnson Jr. played 12 years in the NBA with the Los Angeles Lakers. Magic is widely regarded as the greatest point guard of all time and on of the greatest players of all time. Magic has became a true inspiration to the game of basketball with his flashy style of play.
Bio:
Magic was born on August 14, 1959 in Lansing, Michigan where he was raised. Magic attended Everett High School, where he earned his nickname "Magic" by recording a triple-double as a 15 year old sophomore. For college he attended Michigan State University, where he won the 1979 NCAA National Championship versus Larry Bird's Indiana State University. Magic was drafted as the first pick in the first round of the 1979 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers.
Magic would become a primary help in leading the Laker dynasty known as Showtime with the likes of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Michael Cooper, James Worthy, Byron Scott, Pat Riley and more. The Lakers were arguably the best NBA team in the 1980's as they would constantly battle their ultimate rival the Boston Celtics led by Larry Bird.
