Clyde Drexler

Clyde Drexler, nicknamed "The Glide", played 15 seasons in the NBA with the Portland Trailblazers and the Houston Rockets. Drexler was one of the best shooting guards of his era and was always a runner up to Michael Jordan's success.

Bio:
Clyde Austin Drexler was born on June 22,1962, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Drexler lived in Houston, Texas where he attended Ross Sterling High School.

For college, Drexler attended the University of Houston where he became part of the most famous college basketball team of the early 1980s, Phi Slama Jama Cougars. A team that consisted of Drexler, Hakeem Olajuwon, Michael Young, and Larry Micheaux made the NCAA Final Four three times straight but one time without Drexler. One of which was a loss to Michael Jordan and the University of North.  Carolina.

Drexler was selected as the 14th pick in the first round of the 1983 NBA Draft by the Portland Trailblazers. With a team of players that had Drexler, Buck Williams, Drazen Petrovic, Jerome Kersey, and Terry Porter, the Trailblazers made NBA Finals twice in Drexler's career.

In 1990, the Trailblazers faced Isiah Thomas and the Detroit Pistons in the NBA Finals. The Pistons would win 4-0.

In 1992, the Trailblazers came back to the Finals where they faced Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls would win 4-2. Although Drexler never won in the Finals, he always got the Trailblazers there as he averaged 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists in the playoffs from 1989 to 1992.

After 12 years with the Trailblazers, Drexler was traded to the Houston Rockets in the middle of the 1994-1995 season to join forces with his former teammate Hakeem Olajuwon in search of a championship. The Rockets made it to the 1995 NBA Finals versus Shaquille O'Neal and the Orlando Magic where they swept the Magic 4-0.

Karl Malone, nicknamed "The Mailman", played 19 seasons in the NBA with the Utah Jazz and the Los Angeles Lakers, but is most remembered for his time playing for the Utah Jazz. Being second on the all-time scoring list, Malone had sheer power and became one of the greatest power forwards of all time. Garnett was one of the best players in his era and is one of the greatest power forwards of all time.
