George "Iceman" Gervin played for two basketball leagues, the American Basketball Association(ABA) and the National Basketball Association (NBA). Gervin played in the ABA from 1972-1976 with the Virginia Squires and the San Antonio Spurs, and during the 1976 NBA Merger, Gervin switched leagues and played in the NBA from 1976-1986 with the San Antonio Spurs and the Chicago Bulls. Gervin is one of the best players of all time known for his elite scoring ability.
