Kobe Bryant

Kobe Bean Bryant had a 20 year long career playing for the Los Angeles Lakers from 1996 to 2016. Bryant retired as one of the greatest players of all time as he performed some of the best moments in sports history.

Bio:
Bryant was born in his family's hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on August 23 ,1978. When Bryant was young, him and his family moved to Rieti, Italy where his father, Joe Bryant, played basketball overseas after an 8 year NBA career. Bryant studied the game of basketball at an early age as his grandfather would send him VHS tapes from America of NBA games. When Bryant's father retired from basketball entirely in the early 1990's, his family moved back to Philadelphia where Bryant would soon enter Lower Merion High School where he would dominate throughout his years there and later enter the 1996 NBA Draft. Bryant was drafted as the 13th pick in the 1st round by the Charlotte Hornets but traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in return for Vlade Divac as it turned out to be a successful attempt in acquiring all-star center Shaquille O'Neal. Bryant and O'Neal would go on to win 3 straight championships together from 2000-2002. Bryant would later win 2 more championships as the main leader on the Lakers. One of Bryant's most memorable moments was when he accomplished scoring the second most points in an NBA game with 81 points.

Karl Malone, nicknamed "The Mailman", played 19 seasons in the NBA with the Utah Jazz and the Los Angeles Lakers, but is most remembered for his time playing for the Utah Jazz.
