Isiah Thomas played 13 years in the NBA with the Detroit Pistons. He is well known as one of the best point guards of all time and part of the "Bad Boys" Pistons era in the late 1980's.
Bio:
Isiah Lord Thomas III was born on April 30, 1961, in Chicago Illinois where he had a rough upbringing due to the danger in the area he lived. Thomas didn't grow up studying NBA players on television, he instead studied local street players including his brother. He attended St. Joseph High School, a private school, where he lead the team to the state finals. For college, he attended Indiana University and played for the Hoosiers where he won a National Championship in 1981. Thomas was drafted as the second pick in the first round of the 1981 NBA Finals.
Thomas is a big part of NBA history and is most known for his ball-handling skills. He became the leader of the "Bad Boy" Pistons playing alongside players Joe Dumars, Mark Aguirre, Bill Laimbeer, John Salley, and Dennis Rodman. Thanks to his leadership, he helped earn the Pistons their only two championship titles in 1989 and 1990.
