
Carmelo Anthony, nicknamed "Melo", has played 15 seasons in the NBA with the Denver Nuggets, New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder, and the Houston Rockets. Although Melo played for more than one team, he is best known for his time playing for the Denver Nuggets. Melo is known as one of the best players in the NBA in the 2000's and one of the best players of the century during his prime.

Carmelo Kyam Anthony was born on May 29, 1984, in Brooklyn, New York. Melo attended Towson Catholic High School before transferring to Oak Hill High School. For college, Melo attended Syracuse University, playing for the Orangemen winning them a national championship in 2003.
Melo was drafted as the 3rd pick in the 1st round of the 2003 NBA Draft by the Denver Nuggets. Due to Melo joining the team, he increased the Nuggets popularity as a team. During Melo's time with the Nuggets, the team acquired players like Allen Iverson, Kenyon Martin, Chauncy Billups, Marcus Camby, and J.R. Smith to make the Nuggets one of the best teams in the league at the time.
In 2011, Melo was traded to the New York Knicks where he joined forces with Amar'e Stoudamire for 6 seasons.
In 2017, Melo was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Enes Kanter and Doug McDermott. Melo would team up with Russel Westbrook and Paul George for 1 season to form the super team known as the OK3.
In 2018, Melo signed with the Houston Rockets and is currently a free agent.
