Kawhi Leonard, nicknamed "The Claw", has played 8 seasons in the NBA with the San Antonio Spurs and the Toronto Raptors. Although Leonard has played with more than one team, he has made most of his history playing for the San Antonio Spurs. Known for his quiet demeanor, Leonard is one of the best players in the league and is widely compared to basketball legend Julius "Dr.J" Erving for his vast-sized hands as well as his style of play.

Bio:
Kawhi Anthony Leonard was born on June 29, 1991, in Los Angeles, California. In 2008, his father, Mark Leonard, was killed in a shooting in Compton, California. Due to this incident, Leonard would never be the same, making basketball his ultimate sanctuary to forget the sadness of his loss.

Leonard attended Canyon Springs High School before attending Martin Luther King High School in Riverside, California. Leonard teamed up with Milwaukee Bucks shooting guard Tony Snell to lead the Wolves to a nearly undefeated record of 30-3.

For college, Leonard attended San Diego State University and played for the Aztecs, leading them to the NCAA tournament twice.

Leonard was selected as the 15th pick in the 1st round of the 2011 NBA Draft. He soon became an important part of the San Antonio Spurs dynasty, playing with Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker, and Stephen Jackson.

In Leonard's second season in the league, the Spurs would make it to the 2013 NBA Finals to face off against LeBron James and the Miami Heat. The Spurs would lose to the Heat in Game 7.

The Spurs and the Heat faced off again the next year in the 2014 NBA Finals, although this time the Spurs would beat the Heat 4-1, earning Kawhi his one and only championship.

In 2018, Leonard was traded to the Toronto Raptors for shooting guard DeMar DeRozan.

Garnett was one of the best players in his era and is one of the greatest power forwards of all time.
